Golf is one of the most important sports to maintain this is due to the fact that the ball and its path are often determined by the surface. Fairways, putting tees and greens all depend on well-maintained fairways.

The new advancements in synthetic turf have led to a very even and smooth surface which provide an unhindered ball-roll, perfect for golfers however always need a maintenance plan in place to ensure the best playing surface all year round!

Even if your golf synthetic turf has National Governing Body accredited surfaces made with the highest quality turf, there are still certain measures that need to be put into place to ensure that the surface remains intact and at full performance. The infill that is used within the golf surface can often move for a number of different reasons, one of these may be that a certain area of the turf is used the most therefore the sand infill moves towards the edges that are not used as much.

A simple drag brushing strategy, which can often be completed in house, will ensure that if the infill levels migrate to the edges of the golf surface, they are spread evenly out again. This is a simple process. Surface grooming is a fantastic option for golf providers as the grass can often lay flat due to heavy usage of the golfing green, if the fibre in the surface is flat the surface grooming can push the fibres upright back to the perfect position for playing golf on. This also helps the infill to go back to its original state therefore protecting the golf turf.
